Proposed Transfer Status

Non-Transferable:
Course that focus on the acquisition of immediate technical skills and those that treat the subject matter with an intensity and pace similar to that found at the secondary level are generally considered non-transferable to baccalaureate institutions. These courses must be numbered 100 or higher.

CSU (Baccalaureate Level):
Courses that meet the 4 established criteria in the Appendix "Baccalaureate Level Courses" of the Curriculum Guide are considered eligible for baccalaureate level, thereby attaining CSU transfer status. (This status may be challenged by the CSU system at any time). Courses determined to be baccalaureate level are numbered 50-99.

UC:
Eligibility for UC transfer status of course is determined by the UCs. Courses are submitted for UC review once a year. (De Anza courses are reviewed in July/August.) Courses that are UC transferable must be numbered 1-50. The basic criteria UC uses to determine the transferability of community college course to its system are:
